This is a straightforward system telemetry widget that reads CPU, memory, temperature, load, and disk usage from standard Linux interfaces. It contains no network access, no writes to system files, and no credential handling. The shell script is simple and transparent, with no obfuscation or suspicious behavior.

How this check works

This review combines the deterministic scan (the rule-based results above) with an independent look at the plugin's code by a language model. The model reads a trimmed sample of the repository's files, the manifest, and the README, then gives a plain-language risk level and a recommendation: install (no notable danger), review (look closer first), or avoid (clearly dangerous).

It runs on the same analyzed commit as the deterministic scan and is strictly advisory — it is not a security guarantee and never blocks a plugin by itself. A human moderator still reviews plugins before they are listed.

AI advisory only — automated analysis, not a security guarantee.

Install
$ omarchy plugin add https://github.com/evertonmj/ever-telemetry --enable
System #system

ever-telemetry

A compact system telemetry widget for the Omarchy bar. It displays live CPU, RAM, and temperature readings at a glance, with load average and root-disk usage available in the tooltip.

Features

  • CPU usage
  • Memory usage
  • CPU temperature
  • One-minute load average
  • Root filesystem usage
  • Refreshes every three seconds
  • Left-click opens btop in a floating terminal
  • Right-click refreshes the readings immediately

Install

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/evertonmj/ever-telemetry.git --enable

The widget is placed in the right section of the bar by default. Move it with:

omarchy bar move ever.telemetry --section right

Valid sections are left, center, and right.

Requirements

  • Omarchy with shell plugin support
  • bash, awk, and df
  • lm_sensors for temperature readings
  • btop for the click action

The widget continues to work if no supported temperature sensor is detected; the temperature is shown as --.

Update

omarchy plugin update ever.telemetry

Remove

omarchy plugin remove ever.telemetry

Validate a local checkout

omarchy plugin validate .

Security

Omarchy plugins run as unsandboxed user code. This plugin reads Linux system telemetry from /proc, df, and sensors; it does not use sudo, access the network, or write system data.
