📦 Installation

Install and enable the widget with a single command:

🎮 Usage

  1. Click the palette icon (🎨) in the Omarchy top status bar.
  2. Browse through the catalog or use the Search field to find a specific theme.
  3. Click on any theme card to expand and view available color schemes or Dark/Light variants.
  4. If a theme is not yet installed on your system, click Install package to download it via pacman.
  5. Click on the desired variant to activate it instantly. The currently active theme is marked with a checkmark (✓).

⚙️ How It Works

  • Package Management: Downloads verified official packages using pkexec pacman -S --noconfirm <package>.
  • Universal Desktop Sync: Seamlessly writes the active theme name to:
    • GNOME / GTK: gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme "<theme>"
    • GTK 3 & GTK 4: ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini and ~/.config/gtk-4.0/settings.ini
    • KDE / Dolphin: ~/.config/kdeglobals ([Icons] Theme=<theme>) via kwriteconfig6
    • Qt Standalone: ~/.config/qt5ct/qt5ct.conf and ~/.config/qt6ct/qt6ct.conf
    • XDG & Omarchy: ~/.icons/default/index.theme and ~/.local/state/omarchy/current/theme/icons.theme
  • Real-Time Discovery: Scans installed themes directly from /usr/share/icons/, ~/.local/share/icons/, and ~/.icons/.
