Mouse Sensitivity
Omarchy plugin for changing Hyprland's input:sensitivity option with saved
Work, Gaming, and Custom profiles. The bar keeps a clean mouse icon, while the
panel shows the detected mouse name and battery level when UPower exposes it.
Install
Install directly from GitHub:
omarchy plugin add https://github.com/nylzen/omarchy-mouse-sensitivity.git --enable
The plugin is placed in the bar automatically. If it does not appear immediately, run:
omarchy-shell shell rescanPlugins
Toggle the panel with Super + Alt + M. Select Work, Gaming, or Custom; each
profile stores its own value locally. Use Super + Alt + Ctrl + M to cycle
profiles without opening the panel. You can also type a value between -1.00
and 1.00 or use the slider. Changes are applied immediately.
The shortcut is defined in ~/.config/hypr/bindings.lua. Reload Hyprland after
installing or changing it with hyprctl reload.
Profile values and the active profile survive shell restarts and theme/layout
reloads. They are stored in ~/.local/state/omarchy/mouse-sensitivity.json, so
reloading Omarchy or changing Hyprland layouts does not wipe them. The current
Hyprland runtime sensitivity still follows the compositor session and resets to
Hyprland's configured value after a full restart.
Battery information is provided by the system's UPower service. Compatible wireless, Bluetooth, and HID++ mice can report a name, charge percentage, and charging state inside the panel. Wired mice and devices without battery telemetry hide the battery row and keep the mouse icon.
