Manual review found no dangerous behavior: the plugin is a self-contained Pomodoro timer that only manages timer state, sends desktop notifications via notify-send, and persists user-edited durations to the shell configuration. The deterministic scan found no issues, and the sampled source contains no obfuscation, destructive commands, credential access, or hidden persistence.

How this check works

This review combines the deterministic scan (the rule-based results above) with an independent look at the plugin's code by a language model. The model reads a trimmed sample of the repository's files, the manifest, and the README, then gives a plain-language risk level and a recommendation: install (no notable danger), review (look closer first), or avoid (clearly dangerous).

It runs on the same analyzed commit as the deterministic scan and is strictly advisory — it is not a security guarantee and never blocks a plugin by itself. A human moderator still reviews plugins before they are listed.

Pomodoro for Omarchy

A pomodoro focus timer for the Omarchy shell bar: a countdown pill in the bar, and a click-to-open panel with the session cycle, progress, and transport controls.

<p align="center"> <img src="assets/panel.png" width="480" alt="Session panel: countdown, progress rail, cycle dots, and transport controls"> </p> <p align="center"> <img src="assets/bar.png" width="580" alt="The countdown pill in the bar, next to the clock"> </p>
  • Focus / break / long-break phases with a configurable cycle (default 25 · 5 · 15 minutes, long break every 4th session)
  • Counts against the wall clock, so a suspend costs exactly the time that passed
  • Desktop notification when a phase ends; optional auto-start of the next one
  • Fully keyboard-drivable, and scriptable over shell IPC for Hyprland keybindings

Install

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/pulsebrowser/omarchy-pomodoro.git --enable

Use

In the bar:

Action Effect
Left click Open/close the panel
Right click Start / pause
Middle click Skip to the next phase

In the panel: click the countdown (or press space) to start/pause, r resets the phase, R resets the whole cycle, s skips, e edits the durations (double-clicking the 25 · 5 · 15 MIN caption does the same), Escape closes.

From a script or Hyprland keybinding:

omarchy-shell io.github.pulsebrowser.pomodoro playPause
omarchy-shell io.github.pulsebrowser.pomodoro skip
omarchy-shell shell toggle io.github.pulsebrowser.pomodoro # open/close the panel

Settings

Durations edited in the panel persist to the widget's entry in ~/.config/omarchy/shell.json. All keys:

Key Default Meaning
focusMinutes 25 Length of a focus session
breakMinutes 5 Length of a short break
longBreakMinutes 15 Length of the long break
sessionsPerCycle 4 Focus sessions before a long break
autoStartNext false Start the next phase without a click
