The plugin is a straightforward QML service and bar widget that toggles a systemd-inhibit process to block suspend when the laptop lid closes. The code is transparent, uses absolute paths for external commands, cleans up the inhibitor on destruction, and contains no install scripts, obfuscation, or destructive operations.

How this check works

This review combines the deterministic scan (the rule-based results above) with an independent look at the plugin's code by a language model. The model reads a trimmed sample of the repository's files, the manifest, and the README, then gives a plain-language risk level and a recommendation: install (no notable danger), review (look closer first), or avoid (clearly dangerous).

It runs on the same analyzed commit as the deterministic scan and is strictly advisory — it is not a security guarantee and never blocks a plugin by itself. A human moderator still reviews plugins before they are listed.

omarchy-plugin-lid-awake

An Omarchy shell plugin that, when active, prevents suspend when the laptop lid closes. The session still locks like normal, but processes are not stopped.

Install

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/Tahler/omarchy-plugin-lid-awake.git --enable

The laptop icon appears in the top-right bar section. Click it to pause or resume the inhibitor. It pauses automatically when the Omarchy shell exits (e.g. on reboot).

Uninstall
