The plugin is a QML bar widget that stores notes and to-dos in the desktop Secret Service via secret-tool, using temporary files that are removed after each save. No install-time scripts, obfuscation, persistence, credential theft, or destructive behavior were found, and the deterministic scan's 'none' finding matches this review.

How this check works

This review combines the deterministic scan (the rule-based results above) with an independent look at the plugin's code by a language model. The model reads a trimmed sample of the repository's files, the manifest, and the README, then gives a plain-language risk level and a recommendation: install (no notable danger), review (look closer first), or avoid (clearly dangerous).

It runs on the same analyzed commit as the deterministic scan and is strictly advisory — it is not a security guarantee and never blocks a plugin by itself. A human moderator still reviews plugins before they are listed.

Fast Note Todo

License: MIT

Fast Note Todo adds a secure multiline scratch note and a to-do list to the Omarchy bar — one icon next to the clock, saving both automatically.

(Screenshots use placeholder example content, not real notes.)

Credit

This is a fork of Omanote by Brian Blakely (MIT-licensed) — the note view, its Secret Service storage, and the panel plumbing are his. The added To-Do tab (add/complete/delete, drag-to-reorder, inline editing, keyboard navigation with j/k/space/e/x, its own storage field) is new here. See LICENSE for the original copyright notice.

Install

Security

Notes and to-dos are stored in the desktop Secret Service rather than ~/.config/omarchy/shell.json. Automatic saves use a randomly named file in the user runtime directory and delete it immediately afterward. The keyring attribute is still b.omanote (the pre-fork plugin id) so a note saved before the fork stays reachable after upgrading.
