This is a benign QML calendar widget that performs date conversion and formatting entirely in-process, with no install scripts, shell execution, network access, or destructive operations. The bundled font and derived code are properly licensed, and the deterministic scan found no issues.

How this check works

This review combines the deterministic scan (the rule-based results above) with an independent look at the plugin's code by a language model. The model reads a trimmed sample of the repository's files, the manifest, and the README, then gives a plain-language risk level and a recommendation: install (no notable danger), review (look closer first), or avoid (clearly dangerous).

It runs on the same analyzed commit as the deterministic scan and is strictly advisory — it is not a security guarantee and never blocks a plugin by itself. A human moderator still reviews plugins before they are listed.

Omarchy Persian Calendar

A Persian (Solar/Jalali) calendar widget for the Omarchy 4 shell.

The bar displays today's Jalali day, month, and year using Persian numerals. Left-clicking it opens a theme-aware Persian calendar based on Omarchy's built-in clock panel. Right-clicking cycles through Persian date and time labels, including the weekday, day, and month form. The selected format is saved in Omarchy's bar configuration.

The popup uses a fully right-to-left layout: Saturday is the rightmost day, Friday is the leftmost, and the hero, progress rail, and navigation controls are mirrored consistently.

A built-in date converter switches between Jalali-to-Gregorian and Gregorian-to-Jalali modes. It accepts Persian, Arabic, or Latin numerals and runs entirely inside the plugin without launching a background process.

Install

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/leomoon-studios/omarchy-persian-calendar --enable
omarchy bar move leomoon-studios.omarchy-persian-calendar --section center --after omarchy.clock

You can then disable the built-in clock if you want this widget to replace it:

omarchy plugin disable omarchy.clock

Remove

omarchy plugin remove leomoon-studios.omarchy-persian-calendar --yes

Custom font

Vazirmatn Regular v33.003 is bundled with the plugin and used by default, so Persian text renders consistently without a system font dependency. The font is distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; its license and author metadata are included in assets/fonts/.

To override it, set any font-family name known to Fontconfig:

omarchy bar set leomoon-studios.omarchy-persian-calendar fontFamily "Vazirmatn UI"

Useful Persian-capable choices include Vazirmatn UI, Vazirmatn, Noto Sans Arabic, and Noto Naskh Arabic.

Interactions

  • Left click: open or close the calendar
  • Right click: cycle the Persian bar date/time format
  • Middle click: open Omarchy's timezone menu
  • Mouse wheel or [ / ]: previous or next month
  • Arrow left/right: previous or next month
  • Arrow up/down or { / }: previous or next year
  • T or Enter: return to today
  • C: switch between calendar and date converter
  • Escape: close the panel

Development

omarchy plugin validate .
node test/model-test.js

The QML panel is derived from Omarchy 4's MIT-licensed built-in clock plugin. Gregorian/Jalali conversion logic is ported from mjnaderi/Jalali.py, whose source includes its original licensing notice.

Original plugin code is licensed under the MIT License. Third-party portions retain their respective terms; see THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md and the bundled Vazirmatn license in assets/fonts/OFL.txt.
