The plugin is a straightforward Quickshell overlay launcher with no install-time scripts, network access, obfuscation, or destructive behavior, so the deterministic scan's "none" finding is broadly consistent. The only area worth a closer look is saveWebApps(), which writes user-entered web-app data through a bash -c command that depends on Tools.shellQuote() for safe quoting; that helper was not visible in the sampled Tools.js.

  • Launcher.qml saveWebApps() constructs a `bash -c` command using `printf '%s\n' <quoted JSON>`, and the sample does not include Tools.shellQuote(), so the shell-quoting that prevents command injection from user-supplied web-app titles/URLs could not be fully verified.
  • The plugin otherwise calls AppLibrary, Quickshell.execDetached, and Qt.openUrlExternally in expected, non-destructive ways; no hidden persistence, credential theft, or destructive commands were found.
How this check works

This review combines the deterministic scan (the rule-based results above) with an independent look at the plugin's code by a language model. The model reads a trimmed sample of the repository's files, the manifest, and the README, then gives a plain-language risk level and a recommendation: install (no notable danger), review (look closer first), or avoid (clearly dangerous).

It runs on the same analyzed commit as the deterministic scan and is strictly advisory — it is not a security guarantee and never blocks a plugin by itself. A human moderator still reviews plugins before they are listed.
