This plugin is a simple PDF quick-access bar widget: clicking it runs a bundled shell script that scans common user folders for PDFs, shows a picker, and opens the selected file with omapdf or xdg-open. The code is transparent, contains no network calls, no persistence, no credential access, and the script properly sanitizes attacker-influenced filenames before display. The deterministic scan found no issues, and none are apparent from manual review.

How this check works

This review combines the deterministic scan (the rule-based results above) with an independent look at the plugin's code by a language model. The model reads a trimmed sample of the repository's files, the manifest, and the README, then gives a plain-language risk level and a recommendation: install (no notable danger), review (look closer first), or avoid (clearly dangerous).

It runs on the same analyzed commit as the deterministic scan and is strictly advisory — it is not a security guarantee and never blocks a plugin by itself. A human moderator still reviews plugins before they are listed.

omapdf.bar — PDF quick-access for the Omarchy bar

A PDF pill for the Omarchy top bar. Click it, pick a recent PDF (from ~/Downloads, ~/Documents, ~/Desktop — newest first), and it opens: in the omapdf editor when installed (read, annotate, sign, ask your agent about it), otherwise in your system PDF viewer. When no PDFs are found it tells you via a notification.

Works standalone — omapdf itself is optional but recommended: it's the agent-native PDF editor this widget is the front door to.

Install

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/pbergin11/omapdf-bar --enable
omarchy bar put omapdf.bar --section right

Or manually: clone into ~/.config/omarchy/plugins/omapdf.bar and run the omarchy bar put line.

Settings

omarchy bar set omapdf.bar icon "" # any Nerd Font glyph
omarchy bar set omapdf.bar command "my-cmd" # override the click action

Set OMAPDF_PICK_DIRS (colon-separated) in your environment to change which folders the picker searches.
