The plugin is a benign bar widget that displays per-monitor workspaces and provides optional Hyprland Lua configuration snippets. The QML code only queries Hyprland state and dispatches workspace focus commands with proper shell quoting; the Lua files are standard monitor/workspace pinning and keybind configuration that the user copies manually. No obfuscation, persistence, credential theft, or destructive actions were found.

How this check works

This review combines the deterministic scan (the rule-based results above) with an independent look at the plugin's code by a language model. The model reads a trimmed sample of the repository's files, the manifest, and the README, then gives a plain-language risk level and a recommendation: install (no notable danger), review (look closer first), or avoid (clearly dangerous).

It runs on the same analyzed commit as the deterministic scan and is strictly advisory — it is not a security guarantee and never blocks a plugin by itself. A human moderator still reviews plugins before they are listed.

Per-Monitor Workspaces for Omarchy

N-monitor 10 workspaces per monitor, persistent per screen. Supports up to 6 monitors (60 workspaces).

  • Laptop eDP-1 -> 1-10, TV HDMI-A-1 -> 11-20, DP-1 -> 21-30, etc., each bar shows 1-10 persistently
  • Each monitor's active workspace stays when you switch another monitor (no global jump)
  • Works with Hyprland N-monitor workspace pinning + per-monitor keybinds (see hypr/)

Install

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/muhammad-shameel-ks/omarchy-per-monitor-workspaces.git --enable --yes

Then add Hyprland N-monitor config (see hypr/README.md):

cp hypr/monitors.lua ~/.config/hypr/monitors.lua
cp hypr/bindings.lua ~/.config/hypr/bindings.lua
hyprctl reload

Supports N monitors (auto-detected left-to-right, 10 workspaces each, up to 60).

Hyprland config

See hypr/ directory for Lua snippets. Adjust monitor_order in monitors.lua if your monitor names differ (hyprctl monitors).

Restore default

omarchy plugin remove shameel.workspaces --yes
~/.config/hypr/restore-default-workspaces.sh
