The plugin is a straightforward SSH server monitor that runs ssh commands with BatchMode and publickey authentication, and it validates user input to prevent option injection. The deterministic scan found no issues, and the code matches the documented behavior without hidden or destructive actions.

  • The plugin executes ssh commands to user-specified hosts, which is expected functionality but inherently involves remote code execution on those hosts; users should only add trusted servers.
  • The POLL_SCRIPT runs a remote awk script that reads /proc/stat and /proc/meminfo; this is benign but could be considered a minor risk if a host is compromised.
  • The plugin stores server list in plaintext at ~/.local/state/omarchy/unified-remote-servers/servers.json, which may contain hostnames and usernames; no sensitive credentials are stored.
How this check works

This review combines the deterministic scan (the rule-based results above) with an independent look at the plugin's code by a language model. The model reads a trimmed sample of the repository's files, the manifest, and the README, then gives a plain-language risk level and a recommendation: install (no notable danger), review (look closer first), or avoid (clearly dangerous).

It runs on the same analyzed commit as the deterministic scan and is strictly advisory — it is not a security guarantee and never blocks a plugin by itself. A human moderator still reviews plugins before they are listed.

Unified Remote Servers

An Omarchy Quattro bar plugin for SSH servers. Keep a list of hosts, poll Linux CPU and RAM over SSH, and open a terminal that connects with ssh.

Unified Remote Servers

Keys must already be on the server. This plugin never prompts for a password, never copies keys, never starts a second Quickshell process, and never requests sudo.

Install

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/yooneskh/unified-remote-servers.git --enable

Place it with:

omarchy bar move yooneskh.unified-remote-servers --section right

Usage

  • Left click the bar icon to open or close the panel
  • Middle click the bar icon to refresh every server
  • In the panel: j / k move, Enter connects, a add, e edit, d or x delete, r or the row refresh button polls that host, Escape closes

Each host has its own poll interval: 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or a custom number of seconds.

Requirements

  • Omarchy Quattro with third-party shell plugins
  • ssh on PATH
  • Remote hosts must be Linux with /proc/stat and /proc/meminfo
  • Passwordless public-key SSH already working (BatchMode). Unknown hosts must already be in known_hosts

The plugin runs inside omarchy-shell as your user. It periodically runs ssh to hosts you add, using a 1-second remote sample of CPU and RAM. It does not install packages, daemons, or keys.

Remove

omarchy plugin remove yooneskh.unified-remote-servers

Removal disables and deletes the plugin checkout. Your server list stays at ~/.local/state/omarchy/unified-remote-servers/servers.json.
